Runaway Bride- Ireland Bridal Fun Run
This is not your average FUN RUN….it’s the Bridal Party of the Year! This is Ireland’s first and only wedding themed CHARITY RUN. Hundreds of people will dress as brides & commit themselves to the cause not the man, in an effort to raise vital funds for mental health.  Our Runaway Brides will complete a 2km dash in full bridal attire from an altar to a getaway car which will whisk them away to a full wedding themed party – the only thing missing will be the groom! WHO: If you like dressing up, having fun and doing something for others – this is the charity event for you! The Runaway Bride is an all inclusive event whether you are single, married, separated or divorced. The first Runaway Bride Fun Run is taking place on the 19th of September 2009. This event entails a 2km sponsored run in Phoenix Park in full bridal attire, followed by a full “Wedding reception” in The Radisson Hotel. After you have crossed the finish line, you will continue on to a hilarious fun filled wedding themed party - the only thing missing will be the groom! This will be the Bridal Party of the Year, including all essential wedding reception trappings, wedding band, DJ and much much more.
This event will raise funds to support the work of St. Patrick’s University Hospital. The Hospital is a not-for-profit organisation and is the largest independent provider of Mental Health Services in Ireland.
